I can’t believe the Changeover has passed.   All the planning during the last 15 months is over.   Thank you to everyone who travelled to Tasmania in winter, and members from all eight clubs in District A80. It was such a special occasion for Immediate Past President, Lorraine and me.

It is with much pleasure I welcome to the Inner Wheel Australia Executive Vice President Val Gibson, Secretary Henny Gofton, and Treasurer Annette Nielsen, together with IPP Lorraine.  I am looking forward to the year ahead.

I was thrilled to have met the 2010-2011 Council members at the Changeover.  They are a group of wonderful, friendly women.  I know we will all work well together during the next 12 months.

With five new clubs chartered in the last few months it would be wonderful if we could charter another during this year.   I know some of you are working hard to get another club up and running and you have all my support in your efforts.   However, we mustn’t forget the clubs we already have, some of which are struggling to get office bearers.   We each need to ask one friend to come along to a club function or to a meeting when there is an interesting guest speaker.   It wouldn’t be long before we would see new members feeling confident enough to put their hand up to be nominated.    

With many Changeovers taking place at this time, I offer my congratulations to those who are about to take office at district or club level.  Anything is possible with the support of fellow members and the guidance of those who have held office in the past.
