On Monday 2 April, 2007 thirty Inner Wheel members and some husbands attended the Grant Presentation Ceremony at the Adelaide Women and Children’s Hospital to Associate Professor Simon Barry and his team from the Child Health Research Institute.

Dr. Jonathon Hutton gave a short presentation on the research being funded into the differentiation of cord blood stem cells into regulatory T cells for cell therapy.

National President Val Corva then had much pleasure in handing over the cheque to Associate Professor Simon Barry who praised the efforts of Inner Wheel Members for their dedication to raising funds for this much needed research.

The morning was enhanced with visitors IIW Board Director and District A70 Cord Blood Coordinator Hilary Gardner, Past President IWA and National Cord Blood Coordinator Anne McGill, IWA Vice President Liz Ralston and Gavin, Past District Chairman Susie McLeod (A51) and PDC Beth Darcey (A80) and Max who were in Adelaide for the launch of the Inner Wheel Club of North East Sunset.
