Rotary District 9600 PDG Bill Waterfield presents the Jim Trotter Memorial Trophy to Lesley Johnston

At the recent Rotary International District 9600 Annual Conference, the Inner Wheel display once again won the Jim Trotter Memorial trophy for the best display in the Rotary Showcase.

Strongly featured in the display was the Inner Wheel Australia Cord Blood Research Project, along with Birthing Kits which are made for the Rotary project of Donations In Kind, (D.I.K.).

D.I.K. ships these kits and other goods mainly to Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. The Inner Wheel Club of Sunshine Coast has undertaken to produce 200 birthing kits a month for the next two years.

Promotional material and information about Inner Wheel was also prominent.

A ‘guess how many Smarties in the jar’ was a great drawcard to get people talking and asking questions about Inner Wheel.  Most importantly the 'girls’ all had smiles and displayed the first Object of Inner Wheel – Friendship – which was also a large contributing factor to last year's win.

Lesley Johnston

Congratulations to the Inner Wheel Club of Sunshine Coast for their
wonderful display and enthusiasm.
