Karen was recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Aspley Rotary Club on 10 March 2011 after giving a presention to the Club on 'What is Inner Wheel?'. 

In moving a vote of thanks and presenting the PHF, District Governor Eric Wood said it was in recognition of -

'Significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among the peoples of the world and for work in the community'.
